Every now and then, I pass Impasug-ong Bukidnon but I have never cared to drop by until now.

Look at me and my baby here:
Yes, the place is nice. A one stop for all camera whores out there who simply wants to go to different places and take a lot of pictures of themselves.

5 or 10 years ago, this place was just a simple crossroad. But now, they have built this to preserve and let other people remember or know the Higaonon Tribe I believe ( I hope I am not mistaken).

For people who travels the road from Cagayan de Oro City to Bukidnon or to Davao City, they can surely pass this area because there is no other way. You can drop by anytime and take a picture of you or your family together. There is a donation box located near the giant makeshift people where in you can drop any amount of money to help preserve the area.

The weeds! Farmers HATE them!

Farmers hates the WEED. Because it hinders the potential growth of his crops. When we visited the farm, it is hard to determine which is which, the sugarcane from the weeds that is. You can see it here:
Then you’ll see the difference in the picture below:The farmers hates it because the sugarcane will not grow to its full potential (more bigger than it should be without the weeds). Aside from that, we need to shell out a lot of money from our pockets in order to hire people take away that weed.

Rain, Rain and More Rain

June is on the way and it’s raining more than ever. May is supposedly a SUMMER month but I guess because of CLIMATE CHANGE, MAY has become a month of rainy days.

I expect Mr. SUN to show his face to me every day during the month of April and May but I haven’t seen him for awhile now. I guess he hates me? It’s not that I don’t like the rain because I need it for my plants to grow on its own, but I also need Mr. SUN for my plants and my business, right?

Fish Pond

Another cousin of mine is developing his own resort (with swimming pools and cottages) and fish pond near the same area where his sister is building a resort. I took a photo of his place and this is what the fish pond looks like now:

There are no fishes yet but eventually, this pond will have a lot of fishes when the people are finished with it.

Coca-Cola Plant Sold

A Coca-Cola Plant in Cagayan de Oro City which is located in Lapasan was sold already because they have built a new one in Villanueva, Misamis Oriental.

Bigger and newer plant should mean better and more work but instead, the Coca Cola Company have lost some of their employees. Why? Because the new plant is more on machinery which only needs a little help from human workforce. I don’t know why this should happen but I guess the company is doing a cost-cutting. Having many employees hurts the company’s pocket because they need to provide other benefits such as health insurance or medicare, life insurance, housing and car loan among other things. Maybe they didn’t know that there are cheap life insurance rates which can help them cut cost.

I don’t know if it is right for them to let their employees go, but I guess they have paid them to go (retirement benefits). Hmm maybe they are right, because machines will not go on a strike.

Pangantucan’s Fashion Styles

When I was in high school, we had to wear our uniforms 4 times a week and we only had one day for wash day and that is “Wednesday”. So the only chance I could wear my dress fashionably is every Wednesday of the week ONLY.

Sometimes when I feel like being a lady, I would wear my skirts paired with pretty blouses. And when I feel like I want to be comfy when I walk and sit wherever and whenever I like, I tend to wear my jeans paired with a printed t-shirt. These goes on until I graduated and I didn’t realized that I could also go fashionable wearing hip hop clothing just like the teenage boys at my school.

But nowadays, more and more teenagers in my place knows how to wear their clothes with style. Mixing and matching up their old clothing to create a new look.

I am not an avid fan of Beauty Pageants, though I have joined one during my College Years, oh wait, I have joined two, the first one was for my association (JPIA that is, I was coerced to JOIN, LOL) and the last one was for Miss Rodeo (I was not informed I am joining a Beauty Pageant hahaha).

But last March, my cousin Korjeanne Benison Garces joined our beauty pageant here in our small town and I am glad that she won the crown aside from garnering most of the minor awards such as “Best in Swimwear”, “Best in Night Gown”, and “Best in Talent”.

Farm Girl who loves Freebies

Living in the farm means a lot to me. Living in this rural area makes me feel LUCKY, lucky because I am able to eat fruits and vegetables free of too much fertilizers on them. We grow our own fruit and veggies in our backyard and our neighbors also grew their own, so in case we don’t have food, we can ask our neighbors for free.

When this farm girl turned blogger, she realizes there are a lot of free stuff online too. That free things are not only given by neighbors, that people could also look and check out online for freebies(aside from giveaways and contests).

When is the last time you swam in a pool? – The last time I went swimming into a pool was last year, I think. Before I got pregnant.

Would you consider bungee jumping or skydiving? – BOTH. I would really love to try them BOTH. If given the chance, I will. Once in awhile, we should enjoy life and let out the adventurous self out.

What time is bedtime? – I depends, if I am done with all my works, and if my baby G will say its bedtime already (not literally say though because she is just 1 month old).

Think fast, what do you like right now? – What I like right now? hmmm, I really would love to go somewhere for a vacation. I have been longing to visit DAKAK, Surigao or Puerto Princesa but I just can’t. My baby G is still small and we don’t have the funds just yet.

What do you do for a living?- I sell COKE for a living. Not that kind of coke, I mean I sell Coca-Cola products that is. And I also earn through writing. Yes, I am a writer (not a good one though) but still, I can write. teehee

One business that I somehow kind of manage before was Trucking Services. It is a good business as long as you know how to find good customers who will pay and you also know how much to charge them just enough for you to be able to cover the fuel expenses and maintenance for your trucks, and still have enough left as your income.

Trucking Services is a good income generating business if you know a lot about it. There are things you need to remember such as:

Keep track of your trucks and always keep a good record of your income and expenses.
Keep track of the gasoline/diesel prices, if they go up, your trucking charges should go up too, because the same liters of gasoline will be consumed for a higher price for the same traveling distance.
Your drivers should be trust worthy and know where their loyalty should be, there are those who sell their fuels on the road for lesser prices so you should also know how many liters of fuel will be consumed for a particular trucking services.
Your trucks should be in good condition and has insurance, you don’t know when accidents happen.
Always save the money for maintenance purposes and only spend or get your net income in order to be able to have that extra money in case problems occur.
